Valli's History
Since 1901, when the Valli family acquired a farm on Sand Hill Road, we've been building a tradition of excellence. Founder Dominic Valli initiated our journey, starting with hauling sand by horse and wagon in 1921. Over the decades, we ventured into concrete work, with Earl Brown, Valli's son, joining in 1945. Earl began working for Valli after school, loading sand by hand shovels onto 1940 vintage Dodge dump trucks. In 1953, after returning from the Korean War, Earl went to work for Valli full-time as an equipment operator and eventually became his working foreman.
In 1971, after Valli's passing, Earl inherited the business, incorporating it as Valli Construction Company, Inc. in 1972 alongside his wife, Janet. Through the years, we've maintained our commitment to quality and service, passing down our values from one generation to the next.
In 1980, Michael Brown, Earl's son, joined the family business. Wearing various hats, Michael's journey led him to become Operations Manager in 1999. Supported by lead operator Tom Briggs, Michael fueled our growth, ensuring our services evolved to meet the changing needs of central Connecticut.
In 2017, Michael assumed the role of President, setting the stage for his son, Justin Brown, to take the reins in 2022 as the 4th generation leader. With Justin and Michael at the helm, Valli Construction embraces a renewed vision focused on growth and expansion while staying true to our heritage and values.
